For this year’s Antibiotics Awareness Week, we decided to enhance the experience that we created in 2017. We had developed an interactive gamified experience to generate awareness on the right usage of antibiotics based on a situation that took place in India. For this year’s, we wanted to generate a global experience that would be developed through different continents and countries.
The game dynamics is the same one. We put people to the test and by answering some questions on how they would act on different situations, they get to learn how to make a corret use of antibiotics.
We collaborated together with Laura Pérez Granel in the illustrations.
Our experience begins in Manila, Philippines, where a young adolescent is having an ear ache.
We then move on to the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya, where a little boy is feeling sick.
The next step of the journey takes us to El Cairo, Egypt, where a yound adolecent is thinking of buying antibiotics online.
Our last stop is the experience of the young girl in India that is feeling sick and wonders about where to buy the antibiotics. In this last scenario, three mini-games help people to learn about superbugs.
For this year’s campaign, we also created the illustrations for the official posters, which correspond to the same scenarios that we have in the interactive.
